Programs

We intend to give birth to a new community narrative aimed at espousing the ethics of places, caring for their affectivity and recognizing their value. We will plant 20 trees in Filogaso with kindergarten, elementary and middle school children, young people from the free Social Impact Manager Advanced Training Course and young people from the Virtus Lab model to build a symbolic bridge between these children and the village that welcomed them during their training.

Each tree planted belongs to the citizenry that hosts it and to the children and youth who have symbolically brought it to life with the act of planting, becoming the emblem of those who, having come to Filogaso, choose to remain with their hearts even though they will physically leave. As “Tree Keepers,” the children of Filogaso will therefore be tasked with protecting the trees over time, growing with them, and guarding the bond they represent with the promise and commitment by our students to return to this place. This is how we want to build the return to communities and create the roots of the future.

In collaboration with the Municipality of Filogaso and the Sant’Onofrio Comprehensive Institute, the initiative aims to be a workshop for the care of territories and communities. With the choice of the square in front of the municipal premises as the site for the planting of trees, the initiative emphasizes the importance of regenerating urban areas in order to return greenery to local populations. We are sending a signal in the direction of restoring and enhancing urban green spaces, with the aim of promoting social cohesion and building a reality in which the well-being of people and the environment are prioritized.
