Fondazione Augurusa partner of the ITS Academy “ARCA”
A center of excellence for the home system is born in Locride
Once again, the Antonio Emanuele Augurusa Foundation steps in to support the technical training of young people in Southern Italy: we are officially partners of the project ITS Academy ARCA – Regenerative Architectures for the Human Home, the new advanced technological training school dedicated to the “Home and Built Environment” system that will be established in Locride. The initiative is promoted by the Technical-Professional Hub “Marconi – IPSIA Art – Zanotti” together with GAL Terre Locridee and has been approved by the Calabria Region to strengthen the Higher Technological Education offering in the area.
The project represents an important step toward a free training model increasingly connected to the world of work and capable of generating real employment opportunities in the area. The ITS Academy ARCA, in fact, positions itself as a center of excellence that aims to train highly qualified technicians in the strategic sectors of sustainable construction, energy efficiency, integrated design, and digital innovation applied to housing—sectors that suffer from a mismatch between labor supply and demand. The ITS Academy ARCA project therefore aims to offer a solution to the employment needs of Southern Italy, thanks also to a strong investment in practical and laboratory-based teaching, internships, and company placements.
The strength of the ITS Academy ARCA lies in its connection to the area: together with our Foundation, a broad network of partners will collaborate to offer young people free training pathways built with a pragmatic view toward the regional and national labor market. Institutions, universities, businesses, and third-sector organizations will unite research, education, and entrepreneurial skills to ensure a comprehensive training pathway. In addition to financial support for the project, the Augurusa Foundation will provide classrooms for training, representative spaces, and facilities for internships and placements. Above all, we will contribute our established know-how in the field of local entrepreneurship and job inclusion, putting our years of experience at the service of young people in the Calabrian area.
Investing in training has always been a pillar of our daily commitment. Being a partner of the new ITS Academy ARCA means, for us, offering young Calabrians a concrete opportunity to remain in a South from which many emigrate to train elsewhere. It means providing an answer to the small and medium-sized enterprises in our area, which often encounter difficulties in finding qualified personnel. Finally, it means supporting those who work for sustainable living, for urban regeneration that looks toward a future of innovation and new technologies. With this project, we add another fundamental piece to building the future of Calabria, one talent at a time.
